That's what we burn for: Team spirit, a straightforward approach - and a pretty good why

"We are like a family!" Sounds nice, but you read it everywhere. Right from the start, it was important for us to come together as a team, define our own values and really live by them. So often, values are just nice texts hanging on the wall. But how do you do that? We had no idea at first.

The beginning: more questions than answers

There we were, sitting together, a few months after the company was founded. Highly motivated, full of ideas, visions and entrepreneurial spirit. But even though we had roughly the same images in our heads, we lacked a common denominator. We decided to hold a values workshop. Not to collect buzzwords, but to understand them: What drives us? What is really important to us? And what do we want to be measured by?

The path to real values

Getting there was no quick fix. We tried out, rejected and discussed a lot. We learned that we don't find true values in a quiet room, but by working together. In real conversations, in conflicts, in moments of success.

"Values are like fingerprints. Nobody's are the same, but you leave them all over everything you do."

Elvis Presley

Our branding workshop was a decisive step. Because it was clear to us that our values are not separate from our brand - they are its foundation. That's why they have to emerge from within us. They have to fit us, feel real and be in line with what we want to live every day. Only then can we convey them authentically to the outside world.

The workshop was intensive. Not a frontal lecture, but an honest exchange. With cards, questions, discussions - and plenty of room for doubts, ideas and aha moments. We not only collected what we think is good, but also tested it: What really suits us? What drives us? What gives us direction? Also important: What doesn't suit us? The result is a compass of values on which we are now building with clarity and conviction.

Values can only be developed together - not in the boardroom. This requires one or more workshops with plenty of time. No empty words, but concrete formulations. Living values in everyday life, talking about them, questioning them.

What makes us special

It's easy to use values as a figurehead, print them out on posters and then hang them there. But values are actually our tools. They help us to make good decisions, set clear priorities and create an environment in which everyone can give their best. These are ours:

Courage as a driver for innovation

We break new ground - because progress comes from daring to learn. With data-based decisions, entrepreneurial thinking and innovative tools, we create security - and with security comes courage.

Commitment that connects us

We listen, understand and act with foresight. Reliability, clear priorities and trust are the basis of our cooperation. We can only grow together if we stand up for each other.

Flow & focus for individual work

Efficient work requires a balance between deep work and exchange, structure and flexibility. We create a framework in which everyone can find their optimal working rhythm.

Openness for real progress

We tell it like it is - well-founded, respectful and direct. Because only with honest feedback, transparent analysis and a culture of questioning can the best solutions be found.

Respect & trust for shared strength

Discretion and appreciation characterize our cooperation with our clients and within the team. With integrity and equality, we create a culture in which trust can grow.

A look behind the scenes: What we learned from the process

In the end, our branding workshop was more than just a workshop - it was a real team-building moment. We got to know each other better, challenged ourselves and laughed. And we were reminded of the following points, which often get lost in everyday life:

  • We tick differently - and that's a good thing.
  • Good discussions need time and trust.
  • Sometimes the best ideas don't come from the meeting, but from the coffee afterwards.
  • What remains unspoken rarely gets better.
  • Openness begins with listening.

Let's be honest: workshops like this are intensive - and therefore exhausting. Afterwards, nothing really worked for us. But that's exactly why they are so valuable. Because if you really want values to fit, you have to go through the thought process together. It's worth it.

Our values are not stones

They are allowed to develop, to grow with us, to rub against each other. Because that is precisely where their power lies: they are alive. And they remind us again and again why we do what we do - together, with attitude and heart.
