This is what drives us: team spirit, straight talk—and a pretty good reason

“We’re like a family!” It sounds nice, but you see it everywhere. From the very beginning, it was important to us to come together as a team, define our own values, and truly live by them. So often, values are just nice-sounding phrases hanging on the wall. But how do you actually do that? At first, we had no idea.

The Beginning: More Questions Than Answers

There we were, sitting together a few months after the company was founded. Highly motivated, brimming with ideas, visions, and entrepreneurial spirit. But even though we all had roughly the same picture in mind, we lacked a common ground. We decided to hold a values workshop. Not to collect buzzwords, but to understand: What drives us? What is truly important to us? And by what standards do we want to be measured?

The Path to True Values

It wasn't a snap decision. We tried out a lot of things, discarded some, and had many discussions. We've learned that true values aren't found in isolation, but in working together—in genuine conversations, in conflicts, and in moments of success.

“Values are like fingerprints. No two are alike, but you leave them all over everything you do.”

Elvis Presley

A crucial step was our brand-building workshop. Because one thing was clear to us: Our values aren’t separate from our brand—they’re its foundation. That’s exactly why they have to come from within us. They have to fit who we are, feel genuine, and align with what we want to live out every day. Only then can we authentically convey them to the outside world.

The workshop was intensive. No lecture-style presentation, but rather an honest exchange. With cards, questions, discussions—and plenty of room for doubts, ideas, and “aha” moments. We didn’t just list what we like; we examined: What truly suits us? What drives us? What gives us direction? Also important: What doesn’t suit us? The result is a values compass that we now use as a foundation with clarity and conviction.

Values can only be developed collectively—not in the boardroom. This requires one or more workshops that allow plenty of time. No empty phrases, but concrete wording. Live out these values in everyday life, talk about them, and question them.

What sets us apart

It’s easy to use values as a marketing tool, print them on posters, and then just leave them hanging there. But values are actually our tools. They help us make good decisions, set clear priorities, and create an environment where everyone can do their best. These are ours:

Courage as a Driver of Innovation

We’re breaking new ground—because progress happens when you dare to learn. Through data-driven decisions, entrepreneurial thinking, and innovative tools, we create security—and with security comes courage.

Commitment: What Brings Us Together

We listen, understand, and act with foresight. Reliability, clear priorities, and trust form the foundation of our collaboration. Only by standing up for one another can we grow together.

Flow & Focus for Independent Work

Efficient work requires a balance between deep work and collaboration, structure and flexibility. We create an environment where everyone can find their optimal work rhythm.

Openness to real progress

We tell it like it is—in a well-informed, respectful, and straightforward way. Because the best solutions come from honest feedback, transparent analysis, and a culture of critical thinking.

Respect & Trust for Shared Strength

Discretion and respect are at the heart of our collaboration with our clients and within our team. Through integrity and mutual respect, we foster a culture where trust can flourish.

A look behind the scenes: What we’ve learned from the process

In the end, our brand-building workshop was more than just a workshop—it was a true team-building experience. We got to know each other better, pushed ourselves, and had a good laugh. And it reminded us of the following points, which often get lost in the day-to-day:

  • We're all different—and that's a good thing.
  • Good discussions take time and trust.
  • The best ideas don't always come up during a meeting, but rather over coffee afterward.
  • What remains unsaid rarely gets better.
  • Openness begins with listening.

So, let’s be completely open and honest: Workshops like these are intense—and therefore exhausting. Afterward, we were completely wiped out. But that’s exactly why they’re valuable. Because if values are truly going to align, you have to work through the thought process together. It’s worth it.

Our values are not set in stone

They are free to evolve, to grow alongside us, and to face challenges. For that is precisely where their strength lies: they are alive. And they constantly remind us why we do what we do—together, with integrity and heart.
